Get To Know Eastern Region Sales Intern, Ryan Frazer
We are pleased for the chance to introduce Eastern Sales Region’s summer intern, Ryan Frazer.
Ryan's journey to Hoegemeyer began in the small town of Dansville, New York. Growing up in a close-knit agricultural community, Ryan was always surrounded by farm life. However, Ryan's involvement in agriculture wasn't a given. His parents own a car dealership, and none of his family are farmers.
His time spent on his best friend's family dairy farm ignited his passion for agriculture. From a young age, Ryan loved helping around the farm at every available moment, immersing himself in the day-to-day operations and developing a deep appreciation for the agricultural lifestyle.
Pursuing this passion led Ryan to Iowa State University, where he is currently a junior majoring in Agronomy. The decision to attend Iowa State was driven by a desire to experience something different from his hometown. A campus tour sealed the deal, as Ryan immediately felt a sense of belonging.
His favorite classes at ISU include AGRON 282: Soil Conservation and Land Use, where the engaging professor provided a fresh perspective on land use and soil health, and AGRON 317: Principles of Weed Science, which offered practical knowledge highly relevant to his future in agriculture.
Since joining Hoegemeyer in May, Ryan has enjoyed being exposed to the strong relationships built with district sales managers and Hoegemeyer dealers. He has pointed out how welcoming and helpful the Hoegemeyer team is and “appreciates that they are right there for you when you ask a question”.
Ryan got to know the Hoegemeyer team at their annual sales kickoff meetings and is looking forward to the chance to continue to meet and interact with all Eastern and Northern region dealers and staff at the upcoming Tier 1 Dealer meetings. He mentions that he is excited to see their reactions to new products and programs as the year kicks off for them.
Looking beyond the summer, Ryan sees himself thriving in a career he loves, ideally owning a home and raising cattle alongside it. Outside of work and studies, he enjoys the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing, lending a hand on the farm, and playing fetch with his beloved yellow lab, Nellie. Ryan is enthusiastic about his internship at Hoegemeyer and looks forward to continuing to contribute to the team.
