For those of you that may have seen the floppy, rope tied corn plants going through “Rapid Growth Syndrome” which we talked about in a blog a week or so ago, we want to make you aware of what you might be seeing in those fields soon.  Those tied up leaves were deprived of sunlight and you may be seeing what I’ll describe as “yellow flagging”.  The pictures you see on this blog are from a field that went through Rapid Growth Syndrome last year.  Please note the yellow “flagging” of leaves and leaf tips and how they occur sporadically throughout the field.   If you have any questions, contact your Hoegemeyer DSM or Agronomist.
